What has he done for you lately?

I was reading my cousins Blog, and saw that my mom posted a comment, and I had to share it.

With God in your life it will never be the same. Just open up and let him in. I can tell you since we started going to New Vision I could not imagine life without God in it. I can't take back the years without him but do know I will never be without him again.

Brings tears to my eyes. its true. For those of you like me, I spent the majority of my life not knowing God, and with my kids not knowing God. That is scary. Scary that I lived all that time with out peace, and the comfort of knowing him and what he will do for me. I agree with my mom, knowing how it felt to live without him, I will never be without him again.

Sunday! What a Sunday.

I haven't blogged in almost a week, so I guess I need to Blog.

Sunday recap...

I went to both services today, first service was so good, I had to stay for second.
Alex hurt his finger in kids church so he came to Big church with me. The worship was awesome. I love worship. Pastor talked about 3 things the devil doesn't want us to do.

...he doesn't want us to go all the way. Go to church but don't get involved. It gives him a black eye when we get involved, so get involved. Lets give him a black eye

...he doesn't want us to take our family with us. This is were I get long winded. This is close to my heart. Pastor talked about my family today. 3 years ago, my whole family was in a different place than we are now. Me and my husband were not in church, my kids did not have a relationship with God, my youngest didn't even know who God was. My parents weren't in church. My dad hadn't been in church since he was a boy. My sister was lost. She was at a rough time in her life. My little sister didn't know God. When I first started attending NVMC, I constantly prayed that my family would be saved, and that we would serve God together as a family. I remember one Wednesday night after I responded to an alter call, a women came up to me, and said that God spoke to her and this is what she said. "Stay faithful, he sees your faith in him, and he hears your prayers. Stay faithful." That was my promise. I wasn't going to let go of that. I know I am not perfect, but I didn't negotiate when i came to my family. The enemy tried to put doubt in my head. He said, "Angela, are you serious, do you think our mom and dad are going to come to a church like this. " " Angela, give up on your husband." He tried to put doubt in my head about my relationship with God. But you can't let him get to you. You have to stay faithful. Believing. God made it happen. He was the only one who could. It wasn't me. We are just tools. I was baptized, and I invited my family to come. A seed was planted. My oldest son was baptised, and my family came, another seed planted. As you heard today. My family is now saved, and serving God. I pray that God never lets me forget how it felt to want my family saved, and how it felt when I prayed for them. I want to remember so that I can see how huge this is, what god has done for my family.

...he doesn't want you to take your money. This really laid on my heart today. I want to go all the way in my tithes and giving. Pastor Craig did an awesome job taking up tithes and offerings today. This opened up for Pastor to finish his message today.

Can't wait for Wednesday night service.

Some days are a waste of makeup!

I spent today with the boys. We woke up, and I fixed them breakfast. We watched Knight Rider again, and then we went to Mr. Gatti's. We had a good time. I did run by Hobby Lobby, but I let them get a treat there. I tried to make everything about them. While I was at Hobby Lobby, I saw a picture that said, "Some Days are a Waste of Makeup". It stuck out to me, and I kept thinking of that saying. Then it hit me. Adam and Alex didn't care what I wore, if I had done my make up, or that my hair was up in a ball cap. They just cared that they were MY most important thing to do that day. A day with my boys.

Sometimes we just need to slow down and let them know that they are our most important thing todo that day.

Here are some pics I took at work today. These are the guys I work with.

Gas Lab

Starr's first day at school

Starr started her first day of school yesturday. She loves it. There are only 12 kids in her class. They are off school today for the State Fair. They hooked her up with 2 buddies who are showing her around, so she has already made friends. She get out of school around 2 pm, and goes swimming. So things are going good. Jacqueline starts her new job next week. So things in Florida are going well.

All in good fun

So most of you know I work with all men, I am the only female. Ok, so last week the guys mentioned that women are brainwashed to think certian things. I said, if that is true, then guys are as well. So they asked me to come up with a list of what guys are brainwashed to believe. So in good clean fun, what do you think. Once I come up with the list, I get lunch.

So leave your comments.

Living Room

Adam and I sometimes have a hard time coming together on a decision. We have similar tastes, but alot of times like different things. We have been looking for a new Living Room Suit for a while, and finally found somthing we both like the other day. So we got it, and are just waiting for it to come in. No we just have to solve the age old delima of paint color!! I like the blue in this picture, but it doesn't flow with the rest of the house. Decisions, Decisions!

King of the World

The other day in the car with the boys, we were talking about flying. They asked if we could fly to see Aunt Jackie. I told them it was expensive for us to fly, becuase we have 4 of us. The boys were asking how much it costs to fly. Alex says, "I bet Jesus can fly up there, cause he is rich. Actually he is the King of the World."

Threw the eyes of a child.

Five Friends Every Woman Should Have

Five Friends Every Woman Should Have
By Michelle Burford

"Friends are the family we choose for ourselves," writer Edna Buchanan once said. I consider the "family" I've gathered—with five kinds of pals I count on for completely different things—among the wisest choices I've made. If you can find even one who embodies any of the characteristics that follow, you can consider yourself fortunate.

1. The Uplifter This woman's favorite word: yes. You could tell her you're trading your six-figure income for a career in offtrack betting, and she'd barely pause before yelping "Go for it!" Don't you need someone who looks past the love handles to notice the extraordinarily gorgeous you?

2. The Travel Buddy When the hotel in St. Lucia is a bust, one characteristic becomes all-important: flexibility. This agreeable companion need not be the girl you traded pinkie swears with on the playground; it's enough that she's comfortable with quiet (between gabfests) and is a teensy bit mischievous.

3. The Truth Teller Intent is what separates the constructive from the abusive. Once you've established that the hard news is spoken in love (not in jealousy or malice), you'd be smart to seek out this woman's perspective.

4. The Girl Who Just Wants to Have Fun One Saturday a pal and I—and yes, we're both over age 12—pored over every glitter lip gloss in a drugstore aisle for an entire 45 minutes. Forget the crisis download (for that, see the Uplifter); this partnership is about spontaneous good times.

5. The Unlikely Friend "Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive," Ana├»s Nin wrote. My friends—some twice my age, others half, some rich, others homeless, some black like me, others Korean, Mexican, Caucasian—have added richness to my life that only variety can bring.

Should I keep my hair short, or let it grow out?????

$20 Bill

Sometimes we just need to be

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by: holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?" Hands started going up.

He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this. He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill.

He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air. Well, he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?"

Still the hands went into the air. My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE and WHOSE WE ARE.

You are special - Don't EVER forget it."

Count your blessings, not your problems.

"And remember: amateurs built the ark .. professionals built the Titanic.

If God brings you to it - He will bring you through it.

You all are probably tired to hear about me missing my sister, but that is what I am dealing with right now. We had her, Adrien, the girls, my Parents and my little sister over for dinner last night, and I had to say goodbye with her. We took some pictures together, and I was fine until my little sister started crying. Then it was all over with. I held on to Jacqueline, and she told me, "I am just a phone call and a sun tan away". And I had to laugh because if you know us, we don't tan. Alex thought it was pretty funny when Jacqueline told him the next time she sees him she will have a tan. He was rolling on the floor it was so funny. We all know Miracles can happen. LOL. I have had so many friends check on me today. For us, this is a big deal because we are so close, and are such a huge part of each others lives. Adam is driving the moving truck, so I am missing him too. But he will be back soon, and time apart does make the heart grow fonder. So watch out Cingular, we will be using more minutes. And we will be burning rubber driving to Florida more.
